On the Eve of our return to table tennis (anyone else excited?), a summary of key events from our chairman Mike. And a few photos!

PLAYER DEVELOPMENT AND EVENTS

Player Development Headlines:

We arranged four coaching sessions that took place in the autumn and spring with Graham Slack (Glos).
On two occasions, six club players were involved when the club held an ‘Introduction to Table Tennis’ session for Year 5 pupils from Bredon Hancock’s School.
The village now has an outdoor table tennis table and the club has donated equipment for participants to use.

Events:

The club was narrowly defeated in a match held against Tewkesbury U3A.
The club’s annual end of season ‘Presentation and Skittles Social Evening’ was held in May. Games, food and a great social atmosphere for players and family members, together with the presentation of trophies and medals.
Over the Summer, Committee members have carried out works to eliminate the issue of sun at certain times of the year, by providing blinds to ceiling windows and refractive coverings to other windows. Also pre-season maintenance work and cleaning of equipment has been undertaken in readiness for another great season
